As I leave Boston's Simmons College with my MLIS and say goodbye to wonderful learning experiences in the Brookline Public Schools, I am incredibly excited to be calling Burlington, Vermont my next home. I am in search of a position in a Vermont school library in which I can put my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm into play to create a dynamic library program.

In order to fully illustrate the experiences I have had and to provide an overview of my qualifications, I have created this page, which includes information about my education, experience, leadership, awards, and interests.

This website has been created with Principals, Teachers, Human Resources Personnel, Information Technology Specialists, and Library Staff in mind. I am always happy to answer questions or respond to comments regarding the content on this website or about school librarianship.

My Philosophy
As a school library teacher, my goal is to ensure that all students are effective users of ideas and information. The school library should be an inviting place in which students feel free to practice academic and personal inquiry and to make real world connections with curriculum. I believe that all students can gain an appreciation and love of literature and reading, and that the library teacher - teacher relationship can greatly enhance student learning.

I find that a great part of the information I have was acquired by looking up something and finding something else along the way.
